Winter Rental
A 3 bedroom fully equipped Lakeside Lodge overlooking a private lake. During the winter months (November to March), the lodge would make an ideal base for birdwatchers exploring the Champagne Lakes region with its thousands of wintering Gru/Cranes at Lac du Der ( Chantecoq), White-tailed eagles, woodpeckers etc.
This is an ideal location to visit the world famous 4 day Photographic Festival at Montier -en -Der, it is visited by thousands of people every year to view the wonderful photographs of animal, bird & all aspects of wildlife captured by world renowned photographers. The Festival in 2012 brought 42,000 visitors and 4844 students. There were 2000 photos on 15 sites. Visit www.festiphoto-montier.org
This is on the tourist route for the wooden Champenoise Churches, very near to Lac du Der ( Chantecoq) a man made reservoir protecting Paris from flooding.
The accommodation sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms one double & two single beds in two bedrooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen and fully furnished dining & living area (American) with electric heating and 2 toilet and shower areas.
There are lovely local walks in the forest and cycle hire is available at Montier-en-Der. There is a riding centre just opposite the venue with classes for all aspects of riding & jumping plus organised walks into the forest.
We have always really enjoyed our stays with you and the facilities that you provide are excellent, the accommodation is the best we have seen and without it Nikki would not be able to come on these holidays. It is one of the reasons why we keep returning. With visitor attractions nearby you have the best of both worlds, a quiet day by the lake, or out and about, all of this makes Lac De Laneuville an ideal holiday base for us. Long may it continue.
